So far, so good

Hi hi hi!

I am happy to report that I had a pretty great week!  Josh and I planned our meals for the week on Sunday afternoon, did our grocery shopping and got our game faces on.  Picture that for a second. GAME FACES.

We followed the plan and ate healthy meals all week long. It’s been a while since that happened! The hectic holidays lead to a lot of eating out because of a lack of time (aka. planning). Our dinners for the week were:

  • Monday: Spicy Quinoa with Turkey Sausage & Peppers (from the Eat Clean Diet Cookbook 2)
  • Tuesday: Chicken Quesadillas (on ezekiel tortillas)
  • Wednesday: Zucchini-Dill Turkey Burgers (on ezekiel english muffins)
  • Thursday: BBQ Chicken Pizza on Sweet Potato Crust
  • Friday: Roast Beef, Potatoes & Veggies

We ate the leftovers for our lunches which worked out really well. Of all these meals, I managed to take a picture of one meal. Monday’s dinner. HAH. Fail. I will try harder this week!

Tastes far, far better than it looks.

The weather this week was a bit on the crazy side, temperature wise, but it warmed up towards the end of the week and I was able to find some workout motivation once again! I made it to the gym a couple times and managed a 6 mile treadmill run on Saturday morning (pardon?)

When’s the last time you saw one of these sweet locker room selfies?  You’re welcome.

Friday night I felt like I hit particularly high on the champ metre when I was the only person in the entire gym.

It sounds fun in theory, but really it just lead to me farting around and accomplishing far less than I do when people are around to judge me for wussing out on my weight size or reps. Hahahah, truth.

On Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of going out for lunch with my favourite blogger ladies! Angela lives really close to me, so she picked me up on Saturday and we headed to Fresh in Toronto to meet the rest of the crazy bunch. We had so much fun, we laughed the entire time. We really find ourselves quite hilarious.

Moi, Krysten, Jess, Angela, Princeton, Ale, Christina and Karina!

I had the Tangled Thai salad with tempeh for lunch, followed by a cashew cookie! Both amazing. I also took the opportunity to grab a black bean burrito to take home with me for dinner because Fresh is my long lost lover.

Damn.

So good.

You can stalk these ladies at the following locations (if you don’t already!):

Today Josh and I did some shopping, and I managed to find some major deals (THREE PAIRS OF SHOES), and it turned into another amazing day.

I hope the week to follow goes even a little bit better! A ton of the snow has melted so I may even run OUTSIDE! What? Crazy.

Happy Sunday!

  1. It was so good to see you again this weekend (even if I did need to miss half of it!) Fresh is officially my new favourite – it was so much to try it with everyone.

Also, I absolutely love when I am the only person in the gym. Automatic beast mode! 😀

  2. “YOU’RE A REAL PERSON.”
    That was the best.
And, um, where did you find these 3 pairs of shoes at such a bargain?

  3. Oh my that cashew cookie looks amazing! I love the feeling of getting back on track! Very empowering! Three pairs of shoes?! I think we need pictures! 🙂

  4. Miss your blogs! I keep checking everyday to see if there’s an update! Life happens though, and it’s okay to take care of yourself and put your own needs first 🙂 looking forward to your return to the bologna hopefully sooner rather than later!
