Another weekend, another list

Time for a recap list, ohhh yeahhhh.

FIRST, go enter my Clif Bar giveaway. GO GO GO.

Now in order of events…

1. I have been pumping my runs out in the heat and loving it. I try to get out relatively early so that I don’t near melt, like the numbers on the front of our house. Yeah, one fell off. Lemon puts on her cutest face in hopes that she can come with, but it is just too hot for that little nugget to run.

2. Since I suck at hydrating lately, when I get home all I want to do is drink a lake. My newest obsession is squeezing the juice of 1 whole lemon into my water, and mixing it with frozen raspberries, and as much ice as I can fit. The ice melts in approximately 3.2 seconds because we have 1 tiny window air conditioner for our whole house. It’s a small house but STILL. 30 degrees celsius inside is just not right.

3. Saturday morning Josh got up early to go golfing, and I got up to go run (sweaty post run pic right there ^) and then we got cleaned up for a fun date with Josh’s parents! We took them to the Farmer’s Market because ours is bomb, and then we went for lunch! At the market I managed to find something that I have never noticed before, and I have no idea how I missed it! My cupcake radar must have been malfunctioning for a while. LOOK.

The only thing I managed to take a picture of at lunch was this freaking adorable charcuterie board. The pretzels in the bag? That little cast iron pot filled with CHEESE DIP? So cute and tasty. This was at Beertown, btw. I don’t do beer but their food is delicious!

4. Saturday afternoon Josh made me go to “The Store Wow.” No that is not a typo. It’s a giant warehouse full of used items. It can be fun, but I was not having it that day. I assured Josh that all the records were gospel Christmas albums and that we had better go.

5. I tweeted my best friend John again. We almost had a family gathering planned, but then he ruined it.

6. Josh and I took Lemon to the park, but promptly decided that she didn’t need much supervision, so we could just behave like 7 year olds. Monkey bars are hard, yo.

7.  Continuing with the 7 years old theme, I decided that I want to smell like marshmallows as much as possible. Like apply the scent in 3 different ways kind of possible.

8. In not so funny news, I had to call the Humane Society twice yesterday. My first two calls (and hopefully last) ever. The first one was for this poor guy, who I suspect had been hit by a car. He couldn’t stand, but was still breathing and blinking and shuffling a bit on his side. After I called the Humane Society, I just stood beside him to give him shade with my shadow for the better part of an hour while we waited. Chances are he had to be euthanized, but I couldn’t just let him lay there and suffer. Later that day, I had to call again to report a deceased cat. So sad.

9. I ate just about half of a watermelon today. Some of it was even AT NIGHT. Rebel. No cause.

10. My sister is THIS PREGNANT. Baby looks done to me. Guess it is raw in the middle.

30 weeks

Annnnnnnd, that’s it!
