Running in circles


Unplanned hiatus. I was planning on blogging at the cottage, where internet was recently installed, but it didn’t work at all for the first 3 days, and then when it finally got connected, WordPress was the only page it refused to load. WAH. Oh well, I actually had lots of fun being disconnected!

I had an AMAZING weekend of friends and celebrations, that I am sure I will chat about later this week! For now, I just wanted to share a fun track workout that I did before we headed out for the long weekend. I just had a mega urge to do my workout outside that day, and I refused to go to the gym. So I did the workout below in the heat! It kicked my butt, and burned a MENTAL amount of calories in no time at all. So let’s get to it!

Warm up:

  • 2km run (to the track)
  • 2 laps fast (800 metres)
  • Rest 2 minutes
  • 50 push-ups on toes
  • 100 walking lunges
  • Rest 2 minutes
  • Repeat for a total of 3 rounds
Cool down:
  • 2km jog home

Note to self: SeeYas are called a ROAD RUNNING shoe for a reason. Next time I need to try my trail VFFs! I almost wiped out 10000x.

Just a nice and simple but challenging workout! Also, I am almost certain that I ate enough insects to cover my protein in take for the entire day in that short hour, so that was a bonus.
