Kale and a Bean

So my weekend started off with a gym session on Saturday morning. My new thing is going to the gym at times I never usually go. Fresh people watching. I love it.

After that, Josh and I went to the Farmer’s market because we were home for the first Saturday in WEEEEEKS. We got 1 million peppers, grapes, cherries, asparagus, and kale. This is what just happened to the kale:

How tasty does that look? Hahahahah, I totally blew it. I forgot about them. I probably should have called the fire chief cause it was a freakin’ black cloud up in my kitchen. DAMMIT.

Anyway, after we went to the market, we just ran a bunch of errands, and did stuff around the house. On Sunday morning we got up pretty early and headed over to my sister’s condo for a CONDO PAINTING PARTY!

I grabbed breakfast to go and off we went!  FYI, I DO NOT enjoy Greek yogurt, but since I am taking 10000 antibiotics, I have to take some probiotics too (soooo insert every form of natural sugar I can find so that choking it back is possible. K thanks).

Greek yogurt, raw honey, chia seeds, hemp hearts, buckwheat and raspberries.

We got to my sister’s place in Burlington around 8am, the boys put on their Sunday best, and we got to it.

Wanna know why we were painting? EH EH?

Because my sister and brother-in-law Alex (the one up there whose shorts have a side-ponytail), are HAVING A BABY! Jess is due September 25th and she is currently the cutest little pregnant human you’ve ever seen. Let the bump pics commence!

June 2 (almost 24 weeks)

Hahah this baby is clearly taking her tummy over STAT. They are keeping the sex of the baby a surprise, so they just call the baby “Bean.” CAN’T WAIT TO MEET THE LITTLE BEANITO. This will be the first baby in the fam and my first niece or nephew! Weeeee!

Anything I say after this is far less exciting, so I will just leave it at that.

Happy June!

  1. Wow, she is a cute pregnant lady 😉 And she totally looks like you, btw. I love looking for family resemblances 🙂 And you must be the only person I know who DOESN’T like greek yogurt!

  2. I am really liking your blog. I am glad I found it. It’s nice that I found someone local! I also graduated from the University of Guelph! I also am not a fan of greek yogurt. I was introduced to the coconut flavoured one and that kind of helped turn it around for me. I am now used to the texture of it and eat it regularly.

Aw, thanks Melissa!! How did you know I went to U of G? hah I must have posted it somewhere!
I don’t mind the texture at all, it’s the bitter/sour flavour I don’t like! I bet the coconut one tastes good though!

  4. OMG baby bumps and spooning dogs. Too much freaking cute for one post.
    Congrats auntie!

  5. BEANITOOOOOOOOO!!! Those boys look way too fancy for a Sunday. Mail me SUMMA DAT KALE!

    • Danielle says:

I know right? They need to learn to take life less seriously.

Hahahah doesn’t that kale look DIIIIMMMME?

  6. I know your not a fan of greek yogurt but your breakfast to go looks tastay!

    • Danielle says:

Hahah looks can be deceiving….except when it looks like it has been flooded with honey (which it had been). hahah #gottadowhatyagottado
