All You Need Is Love

This past weekend, Josh and I drove to a small town in rural Quebec for a wedding. If you follow me on Instagram (@workitweariteatit), you already had a sneak peak of the festivities! We arrived Friday night for a small party and then the ceremony on Saturday afternoon. The reception followed in Montreal, about 45 minutes or so from the ceremony.

I can’t even explain how fantastic and FUN this wedding was. SO SO SO FUN.

Our friends, Pat (Josh’s coworker) and Colleen are heading to Hong Kong for Pat’s job in a few short days, so their wedding was not only a celebration of their unity, but it was a BIG, ENORMOUS, GOODBYE PARTY. We got home at 4:30am. From a wedding. When does that ever happen?

The wedding was small, about 65 people, and everyone was so friendly. The size made for a cozy, intimate evening. They planned this wedding in 2 short months– with the bride in Italy for 6 of those weeks! The wedding was beautiful and very well-done, and something about the bride, the groom, and their families together really reflected that this wedding was truly about love and togetherness. It was about the beginning of Pat and Colleen’s new life together. The bride even spilt coffee all over the front of her dress after the ceremony andย wasn’t even concerned. I’m pretty sure most brides would have a total melt down, hah. It was such a pleasure to have been invited to share in their happiness. It was also a great pleasure to drink wine until 3am, hah. The dance floor was pretty fun, too!

Picture overload begins….NOW.

stolen from someone’s FB…don’t even know who. hah.

Thanks to my sister Nat for the dress loan!!

And then…this happened.

8 straight hours of open bar will do this to you.

The next morning Josh was pretty hurting so I took a stroll over to Lululemon, did some damage, and then we began our 893843 hour drive home. So much fun but I am still totally out of whack from the lack of sleep! Trying to get back into the swing of things!

Hope your Monday was wonderful!
