A Few Fun Things!

Just a few things I wanted to share!

1. Josh’s sister Cassie picked this up for us at the Moleskine store in Paris. Yes, this is a notebook dedicated to stalking the life of your dog. Clearly she knows us pretty well.

2. To enhance your Lemon stalking experience, please take note of the newest tab up top! I might eventually switch to Lemon Pic of the DAY, but for now I didn’t want to jump the gun on everyone’s excitement…

3. I finally tried these dried mangos! I picked these up (along with the apple ones) at Starbucks, during the super long car ride to Kingston last week. Delicious!

4. Some of my workout clothes are smelly. Yup. You know when no matter how many times you wash them, they just never seem clean? Well I picked up this sample of Sport Suds at the relay race the other week, and PROBLEM SOLVED! Long live my Lululemon! Now the real test will be my Vibram FiveFingers…

5. I am addicted to my heart rate monitor. IT IS SO FUN to see how many calories I burn. I actually burn WAY MORE in a typical workout than I ever thought I did. This would be a good thing if I didn’t have to attempt to eat all these calories back! 1000 extra calories is a LOT of clean food on top of my usually 1700-1800 (I think– I don’t calorie count!). Below is my burn immediately post workout and again with cool down.

Hope everyone is surviving the heat! It was almost 40°C here today, and I ran to and from the gym. I definitely had to slow it down to accommodate! The extra sweat is kinda fun though.

Happy Thursday!

I just ordered the same heart rate monitor after your post on the weekend! Excited to try it out. Also I love those dried mangos – sooooooooooo delicious!! Why did you name Lemon, Lemon? Just curious 🙂

    • Danielle says:

Yay!! You’re going to love it! Make sure you do the fit test before you do any workouts (you just lie there for 5 minutes and it monitors your heart rate). It supposedly makes for more accurate readings.

Lemon actually came with the name Lemon! We got her when she was only 4 months old but I absolutely loved her name so we kept it 🙂

  2. Holy moly, I am dying for that HRM! I think it would be so interesting to see how much I really burn as well.

  3. I love your workout top! I wouldn’t even know how to use a heart rate monitor – I need you to train me!

  4. Holy cow! That is a lot of calories burned, girl! You look so happy and strong in your pic. 🙂

  5. ah, I’ve always wanted to heart rate monitor train! and I love that it tells you a more accurate estimation of calories burned.

I am just beginning to eat better so I’m always confused. I love the Lemon page!!!!!

  6. Jocelyn says:

I need that SportSuds stuff, BADLY! Do you know where I could find it??

I have a garmin watch for running, but I’m not positive if it shows calories burned… I know it has a heart rate monitor (you wrap the belt around your chest), measures distance, time, etc. – but not sure about the calories, yous looks great!

    • Danielle says:

Joce you order it online, maybe we can collab on an order? eh eh? http://sportsuds.com/buy.htm

You prob have the same Garmin as me, (Forerunner 305?) and it yes indeed does track calories but only for running/biking/swimming, not while lifting or while going about everyday life!

  7. Ahhh so excited! MY HRM is coming this week!! 🙂

I love the dog journal. Dean actually started a notebook and recored EVERYTHING Princeton does – naps, pees, poos, eating, drinking…everything. It’s hilarious.
