Bikes Galore & Food Prep

So I got my beautiful new bike last week, but Josh wasn’t having as much luck. We went to what felt like 1000000 bike stores this weekend before Josh finally met THE ONE!

He got a Jamis…something.  I dunno, it’s pretty though! Hah. I also managed to get some practice in on my bike which was so fun– I had bikes totally underrated! I’m still terrified of cars beside me on the road though, but that’s fine…

When we got home from the bike shopping expedition, it was time for batch cooking in anticipation of the Body Earned program start!  We hit up the Farmer’s Market on Saturday (which has now moved outside, much to my delight) so we were stocked and ready to go.

celery, dill, lemons, limes, avocado, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, apples, bananas, lettuce, eggs


BBQ chicken, marinated in lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper

I also made a huge batch of brown rice and a batch of quinoa, and am also planning to whip up some lemon protein bars this afternoon!


1/2 cup oats, 50g banana, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, splash unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 cup blueberries


This morning after my first official Body Earned breakfast, I headed over to my gym to freeze my membership. For the next while, I will be working out with Josh at his office building gym instead! I met him on his lunch hour today and we signed up for 3 months. After the program is over I may opt to head back to my own gym– because it is brand new, enormous, has every class you could ever need, and I love it. While our new gym definitely isn’t as fancy as my old gym, it is going to be perfect for this program! We won’t be needing any bells or whistles.  Our first workout will be tonight after dinner!

After we signed up, I headed home and prepared our workout binders! We will take these to the gym with us so we can record what weights we use, any modifications we make, etc. They took kind of forever, but I love that I won’t have to check the workouts each day, I have them all ready to go.

I am a nerd.


I’m ready to bring back the LiveFit abs, only better!

Well friends, I am off to finish the batch cooking, eat meal #3 and get ready for workout #1!!!! Overexcited.
