Audition Day Prep

So I woke up this morning in all kinds of pain from these Week 11 workouts. My calves are SOOO sore from the combination of the calf workouts + running in my Vibram FiveFingers for longer than I should. (Vibrams use different muscles than regular running shoes and you can experience pain as you build up distance– even after only a few weeks off of wearing them).

SO! I kind of forgot to plan around the fact that I need to be rested and have energy for my audition tomorrow, I have been in such LiveFit mode I hadn’t given this audition much thought (mainly because I feel a wee bit nauseous when I think about it…). So I skipped today’s workout and will pick up tomorrow after my audition. I may or may not double up workouts, we’ll see.

I had to do all sorts of stuff to get ready today, including take my “head shot” and “full body shot” for the audition. I neglected to do this some time when Josh was actually home, so I was presented with the very difficult task of taking these pictures myself…with my iPhone. WELL, all I can say is thank goodness for camera timer apps and for my sweet iPhone case that allowed me to stand the phone upright. Throw in a stack of boxes and some old textbooks and VOILA, it’s as good as a real life person! Right…? Kinda. They don’t need to see my feet anyway.

So the audition is in Toronto and I live about an hour and fifteen minutes from there so I hopped on a bus to go stay at my parent’s house, which is a bit closer. It is a high carb day so me + bus+ oxygen mag + sweet potato fries = happy camper.



The bus just HAPPENED to drop me off very close to the mall…so I had a couple quick purchases to make.


A new pair of Lululemon Wunder Unders (I desperately needed new crops so I figured the audition was a good excuse!) and MAC studio fix pressed powder, a usual in my makeup bag. My skin has been really bad during LiveFit so this will help me cover up for the audition!

Annnnnd, that’s it! Off to eat my egg whites and get to bed. Oh goodness, I am so nervous. Updates tomorrow!

  1. I took a rest day yesterday too because I was so sore! Instead of doing the workouts 5 days in a row, I’m spacing it out a little differently. No worries 🙂 What are you auditioning for? Good luck!

      This was the first workout I have skipped! It gets a bit difficult when it is 1.5-2 hours a day/6 days a week. Skipping make it hard to squeeze them in. I’ll manage! Definitely gotta rest when necessary! 🙂

      They’re SO comfy and I love that the logo is on the waistband instead of the calf so you can wear them as everyday leggings!

  6. I am on Livefit day 51, just wondering why you said your skin was bad during the program? I’ve noticed a change in mine as well and wasn’t sure if it was from livefit or not.

    • LiveFit doesn’t CAUSE acne, I just found that LiveFit isn’t an intense sweat session, so you kind of sweat a little and then it dries on your skin and clogs pores. Just wash your face immediately post workout. If that doesn’t work, it’s probably some other cause!
